Warby Parker’s Newest Collection

With Spring nearing up and bringing a much needed wave of new fashion trends and styles I was very excited to hear about Warby Parkers spring collection launching on March 14th!

Their sunglasses collection doesn’t just make you look good but they can help you do good too. Warby Parker helps to address and change the fact that almost one billion people worldwide lack access to glasses, which means that 15% of the world’s population cannot effectively learn or work. They do this by partnering with non-profits like VisionSpring to ensure that for every pair of glasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need.

For Warby Parkers newest releases they have given a crew of feminine acetate frames all the saturated color they deserve, with blog tortoise shades and violet-tinted lenses. Other styles in the collection have gotten the same bigger-is-better treatment. They have punched up their flat-brow sunglasses for a copacetic 1970s look, and given some of them the layered treatment for additional élan.

They have a number out stores across America and Canada aswell as the ability to buy online which means there is nothing stopping you from purchasing a pair, whether it’s your first pair or your 6th pair. I have attached three of my favourite pairs from their spring 2017 collection below, let me know what you think and if there’s a different pair you’re loving.

A Missguided Playsuit In The Caribbean

img_9136

I travelled to San Juan, Puerto Rico, whilst on a cruise of the Caribbean with my family over the summer. At each island I visited I plan to do a OOTD blog post for. So here we have hopefully number one out of my island OOTD specials.

The play suit I paired with a satin black backpack, Givenchy sunglasses and Kurt Geiger sandals. The playsuit itself is from Missguided and I absolutely love it. It’s of the shoulder greek vibes and intricate patterns I just adored.

Caribbean Food Week 2016

13076605_862125690564264_3735694774763388673_nGrace foods established caribbean food week in 2012. This year from 22nd August to 29th August at Windrush Square in Brixton, London you can find a mouth watering caribbean celebration of food, thanks to Grace foods!

I received a food hamper from Grace foods to help celebrate it. I thought that this was the perfect opportunity for me to understand more about my caribbean culture. Grace foods is the authentic taste of the Caribbean, they have a diverse and authentic range of products. In my hamper I received a selection of goodies which I used to create Salt fish pancakes with a choice of jerk bbq or hot pepper sauce starter, and a chicken soup for the main meal.

Ooharr Face Masks

Ooharr has a large range of beauty products that are effective, full of goodness natural and super easy to use. I was lucky enough to be sent three to try; I was sent deep sea cooler, Rosie glow and star glow. This week I reviewed The Deep Sea Cooler. Next week I will review Rosie glow and the week after that I will review star glow.

Deep Sea Cooler

The deep sea cooler smelt really minty had a light green colour too it I immediately felt the ‘cooler’ part of the title. It froze my skin -in a beauty enhancing nice way of course. As when you apply the face masks you’re meant to rub it into your skin then leave to sit for 10-20mins before washing it off the little bits in the face mask doubled up as a way to exfoliate. My skin definitely felt refreshed and tight. 10 out of 10! I would recommend it however you’ve got to brave a little bit of the cold temperature.

Make sure to follow Ooharr on their social media and check out their website to purchase your own products, and make sure to let me know what you think!

LONDON FASHION WEEK

IMG_5177

The pictures below are from my very very brief time at London fashion week (sigh). So I ended up at the London fashion week food market and amongst the buzz of the hype, my eyes were pealed for Anna Wintor, Jordan Dunn and any other fashion stars, but I will admit I got a bit distracted by the smell of the food, the cute cakes and trying to eat a burger as lady like as possible. I didn’t have tickets unfortunately, however I attempted to strut my stuff on my own imaginary cat walk, as I walked around in hopes I’d somehow be mistaken for a celebrity. And/ or papped or scouted and asked to walk for London fashion week as a model spontaneously broke her leg or something but I can sadly tell you that it never happened -a girl can only dream.

What are your packing Necessities?

Round about now everyone starts getting bored of waking up and finding Penguins in your home because it’s so cold. The battle between staying in bed in the warmth and leaving the duvet to face the cold day has never been more real. So half of us have either booked the summer holiday and start counting down the days  or the other half have started to look for the summer holidays.

So just imagine how I feel after being abruptly being woken up from my beautiful slumped of golden beaches and the warm sun on my back tickling my my skin and the sea shore gently kissuing my feet as the tide rolls in to my cold bedroom in a city where apparently the sun and warmth doesn’t exist, to then sit at my desk in school and worry about my future as I have to find universities and courses I want to take.

The perfect cure is a vacation to escape the winter blues, or if you like me current life situation blues so I’m putting together a list of vacation essentials that I prob ably can’t do without when traveling. One of Home Away most popular destinations this time of year is the Florida Panhandle with sunny locations like St. George Island, where you are more than sure to see some beautiful lighthouses, and the well known Panama City Beach.

I’d love to go to the Bahamas, drink coconuts on the beach and get fanned with palm tree leaves and eat fresh fruit. That seems like paradise to me.

I’ve always always always got to pack a pair on sunglasses, headphones so when I listen to music I can play it as loud as I want and no one can tell me to turn it down ahah. My phone which is an obvious one, got to snapchat the view, make sure to get an insta worthy picture and keep up to date with everything. Got to have sun cream to keep protected from the sun otherwise I would probably burn like hells fury and a sunburned face is never a look that’s insta worthy. Hand held fans are the best when your in a hot country and need to cool down without leaving your sun bed to go into the sea, yes I’m that lazy the sea will probably be about 30 steps away from the sun bed but if you can’t be lazy on holiday when can you be?

What’s your top five packing necessities, make sure to leave your list and ideal place to travel to in the comment section below!
